Foster-to-Adopt
At Pawsitively Furever our goal is to help as many dogs as we can, but being foster-based we are limited to how many dogs we can take, by the amount of available fosters. To help solve this dilemma, where possible, we created the F2A program (Foster 2 Adopt) to allow people to foster with the intention that they want to adopt a specific dog.
To begin the process, you can see which dogs are eligible for this program on their profiles under available dogs, as they will be F2A Eligible. Then you will need to fill out a foster application to get the process started. Our team will then contact you to begin the screening process and explain the program.
The end goal of the F2A program is ADOPTION!!
Benefits of the F2A Program

We hold applications until you decide (2 Weeks Max)

You are first in line to call “dibs” for that dog! (remember some dogs get up to 10 applications!)

At the end of the F2A period, it’s time to make a decision. If “yes, let’s complete adoption”, we finalize payment and complete paperwork within 24 hours, as per the Adoption Agreement.
And if it’s “nope, not a match”, we get it: we know sometimes it is not the right fit for various reasons so you would then agree to foster the dog until a right match comes along (or we have another available foster) and we work together to find you your perfect companion!
Please note: Not every dog is F2A Eligible. We always strive for the best situation for the dogs we take in and will screen F2A applicants the same way we will adopters.
