Pawsitively Furever is looking for committed adopters & fosters, ready to welcome a dog into their FUREVER home. Finding the right home is paramount for our dogs! All adoption applicants must go through the adoption approval process. At any time we receive a number of applications for each dog - only one will be chosen as the successful candidate. Adopters are chosen based on the dog's needs and the suitability of the adoptive family. Not being selected for the dog that you applied for does not disqualify you from adopting from us in the future.

Things to Consider Before Applying:

~Have you talked to your family and all agreed on adopting a dog?

~ Are you prepared for the expenses that come with owning a dog? (Food, Regular & Emergency Vet Care, Training...)

~Are you ready, willing and able to provide a safe & loving home for a dog?

~If you have other animals in the house, how are you going to handle the transition where they all get used to one another? Are you willing to take the time needed?

~Is this the RIGHT time in your life to adopt a dog?

~Rescue dogs come from varying backgrounds and can have behavioral issues, are you prepared to work through or deal with these?

Phone Interview

Once we have reviewed your application, and if it is deem suitable, you will be required to participate in a phone interview with one of our adoption coordinators.

Virtual Meet & Greet, if requested
Only for Dogs in Canada*

Virtual meets are conducted through video calls with the dog's foster family. During the call, the applicants can see & interact with the dog, ask questions about their personalities & care needs, and get a good sense of whether they are a good fit for their home.

Reference Check

Upon a successful phone interview, our adoption coordinator will call your references.

Finally, when all steps are finished, and you are approved, you will receive an email notification from Pawsitivley Furever Congratulating you on the new member of your family and what the next steps are.!

Adoption Fees

All donations and adoption fees go directly back into helping more dogs.

Puppies

Puppies will come with age appropriate vaccinations. All puppies will have a scheduled sterilization (spay/neuter) through the rescue.

Adolescent &
Adult Dogs

These dog will come spayed/neutered, with age appropriate vaccinations & any other necessary vet work required will also be included.
